Diving in Adventuremine
Divers with at least PADI Advanced Water Diver level (or equivalent) are welcome.
Are you looking for mine diving in Sweden?
We offer guided mine diving in the sections with open water. It is possible to dive for approximately one hour at a time in illuminated areas that create a fantastic experience of free-floating in vast mine chambers.
Divers with at least PADI Advanced Water Diver level (or equivalent) are welcome. Diving equipment is transported down into the mine using the railway system from when the mine was still in operation. After transport, there is approximately 300 metres to the dive site. After the dive, we relax with coffee and snacks in the warming room while the tanks are refilled.

Do you have an open water diving certificate? Try mine diving!
For divers with at least an Advanced Open Water certificate (or equivalent), you have the opportunity to dive in the open and illuminated parts of the mine’s flooded sections. Experience the mine’s crystal-clear water and float weightlessly above remains from its operational past.
We transport your diving equipment by lift while you walk the 80 metres down to the water level. From there, the equipment is transported by cart to the dive sites. You complete one dive, warm up with food and hot drinks in a heated room while the cylinders are refilled, and then proceed to the next dive site for a second dive. At the end of the day, we pack the equipment into the lift again and walk 80 metres back up to the surface – richer by a truly extraordinary experience.
Diving is always guided, at a maximum depth of 21 metres and no longer than one hour per dive. As the water temperature is around 4–5°C, you must be an experienced dry suit diver and feel comfortable diving in darker environments (similar to night diving).
The diving is physically demanding, so you must be comfortable with your equipment to fully enjoy the experience. We therefore require at least 25 logged dives after certification. We do not offer rental equipment on site, except cylinders in some cases. However, we do offer air and nitrox refills on site.
Required certificates (minimum)
→ Advanced Open Water certificate (or equivalent, including dry suit and night diving training)
→ Dry suit certification
→ Nitrox certification
Equipment
→ Diving equipment for single or double cylinders
→ Dry suit
→ Fins & mask
→ Dive light

If you hold a Full Cave, Intro to Cave or Mine Diver certification, you are welcome to dive in Adventuremine’s extensive tunnel system. We offer a fully equipped technical diving site with facilities including a heated room, changing area, dive platform and compressor / gas bank providing air, nitrox, trimix and argon.
More than 7 kilometres of permanent guideline are installed throughout the mine, and diving is available for all levels of cave-trained divers – whether you are highly experienced or newly certified.
Beneath the surface, you will encounter old buildings, ladders, doors and mine carts – all perfectly preserved in the oxygen-poor environment.
